Dr. Glen Wash Ivanovic's research focuses on developing methodologies for data visualization applied to architectural design, and investigating self-built and informal settlements, exploring the shifting boundary between urban and rural landscapes in China.
Glen Wash Ivanovic, Ph.D., is an architect, researcher and educator, Associate Professor in architecture at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool in Suzhou, China. He holds a diploma of Architecture from the Catholic University of Valparaiso. He received the Monbukagakusho scholarship, obtaining both a Master and Ph.D in Architecture from the University of Tokyo. His practice experience ranges from city planning in the public sector to working with Pritzker-winner Fumihiko Maki. His research is focused on developing methodologies for data visualization applied to architectural design. He has tested these methodologies in Valparaiso, Tokyo, Saint Petersburg (Russia) and Suzhou. He is also investigating self-built and informal settlements, focusing on exploring the shifting boundary between urban and rural landscapes in China.
